Organizing the Space we live in
Chapter 4 - Up until now the mystery of what process we are utilizing to defining habitable spaces and what modes of abstraction we utilize to present our results seems to be too remote for algorithms -or even AI models- to grasp. There are countless tools aimed at home-decoration. Two of these made it into our evaluation. Some tools work at generating architectural floor plans. One is listed above - although most entrants in the next chapter carry some functionality of organizing floor plans in one way or the other.
For the time being we reduced the section “Planning of Interiors” to the complicated question of spatial requirements and the question how these are best captured and linked into the various softwares available.
Our Tests
▶️ Spaceplanning - the reverse test to Urban Resi. Not starting with a site but with a list of required rooms that are to be assembled into a building and then located on a site.
